People all over the world has their personal take on what personal space means to them. Maybe it means touching, maybe it means being too close, maybe it means sharing a room, the question I won’t you to think about is, why is it that people are this way?

If the government were to put a tax on sugar, how would you feel about that? To be more specific, a tax on sugary drinks mainly pops/sodas. the only reason the government would think of putting a tax on sugary drinks is because of the drastic rise in obesity in America. To take care of this problem they figure putting a tax on it would make it less likely for you to buy and drink them as often. Instead of taxing all sugary and unhealthy foods, they only tax sugary drink in hopes of that being an eye opener to the public. America is the only country with as much obesity as it has.

I think instead of putting a tax on ANYTHING sugary or unhealthy, they should lower the prices of healthier foods. People only purchase items that they can afford. Yes there are people that can afford the healthy food and don’t, but that’s on them. Poor people can only provide so much for their families, and all the fruits and vegetables are really high. Even meats are high in prices. If some adjustments were made, maybe there would a decline in obesity in America.

Flogging was a very painful punishment used many many years ago to punish men and women instead of sending them to prison. It was first abolished for women only in the 1770’s, but was later abolished entirely by 1862. It was a gruesome punishment that was usually public and didn’t last long but the pain surely did. Flogging could literally rip your back open and you could be in horrible pain up to a week. I guess they figured if they did this to a criminal or felon that they wouldn’t do what it was they did anymore. The question at hand is should this be brought back to America for criminals instead of sending them to jail or prison? It could always just make things worse than they already are. Take a serial killer for instance, you catch them, then you flog them. Studies show that most serial killers come from a broken or abusive homes, so I don’t think flogging would be the best solution for them.

I had the same reaction as you when you read the title. Who in their right mind would eat a precious dog? But on the contrary, many countries eat dog as if it were a cow, chicken, or pig. Dogs are your companion, why would you even imagine eating such a being? The United States is one of the few countries that doesn’t eat dog. To other countries it is very normal to have a recipe for the perfect dog.I know you may be thinking, “But it’s a dog it’s just not right”, but who says it’s right to eat a cow, a chicken, or a pig. It has been known for pigs to be smarter than dogs and yet we eat them like it’s nothing. Just think about it, if dogs were never considered pets, would you eat one then, or say if you were starving to death would you eat one then?…

Almost every state in the United States restrict ex-felons/felons from voting either it be a statewide vote, or a nationwide vote. That takes away a great number of people that could help appoint a good leader into office. But that also saves us from them not taking the right to vote seriously. Most felons, after which they are incarcerated, don’t want anything to do with the government, all they want to do is live their life and not worry about the government ever again. But others would like to have a say so on who they have lead their city, state, country, all of that.

There are some “good” felons out there in the world, and also some that were missly accused of doing something they have nothing to do with. I say give the ones that want to vote the right to, and the ones that don’t, don’t give them the right. Let them make their choice. Yes they did something wrong, yes they weren’t going down the right path at one point, yes they are a felon, but if everybody was judged on what they’ve done and wasn’t caught, would any of us really have the right to vote. My opinion on the whole ordeal is give them a chance to vote, they can either take it, or not. I don’t believe that taking away their voting rights is the right thing to take away from an ex-felon. They’ve served their time, and they’ve hopefully learned from their mistakes.
